I have extensive experience filming all kinds of events and features. Whether it's a small scale shoot I can handle alone, or calling on my network of contacts to put together a production crew. I can handle all aspects of planning and filming logistics so you can focus on your event or client needs. I have my own kit and can hire specialist equipment when needed.
Editing & After Effects
Getting the edit right is crucial to a successful video. I'm happy to work with other production crews pre-event to devise an edit plan and shot list, or simply take your footage and give you a suggested outline based on your content goals. I have access to music libraries, stock footage and can create graphics and text layers to create an edit that works for your brand.
Video consulting
Many brands and companies know they need to be producing video content to reach new online audiences. It can be incredibly difficult however to know where to start. After developing two video teams from scratch I can advise on everything from initial investment in kit to hiring the right producers and embedding a video team or strategy into your existing workflows.
Training
As part of my in-house roles I would regularly train journalists and production staff in video basics and best practices. Advances in cameras mean it is now possible for anyone to learn the basics and shoot instant video on their smart phones. I have several tried and tested workshops teaching mobile video, editing basics and video strategy. I can also create bespoke training classes for different industries and abilities.
Strategy
Having the right video strategy involves thinking not just about producing the content, but also reaching the right audiences on the right platforms. I talk in plain english and will never use jargon to make things sound more complicated than they really are. I will work with you to understand what you want to achieve with your video content and come up with simple solutions that meet all of your aims.
